Growth segment (managed in euros, hedged in Swiss francs)
The growth segment of CPIC – in which your assets are automatically invested – enables you to participate in economic growth through diversified investments, chiefly in stocks and bonds. Its expectation of a higher return is, however, accompanied by occasionally high short-term volatility, either upward or downward.
The value of the share of growth segment is determined every month. The subscription of your capital in growth segment units is made on the first day of each month. The building owned by CPIC and the income and expenditure relating to it are allocated exclusively to the Segment A.
Each quarter the beneficiaries receive an account statement, together with an economic and financial analysis. This enables them to track the development of the capital invested. For detailed figures, please consult the tab “Performance“.
The portfolio is managed in euros and is denominated in euros and Swiss francs (with currency risk hedging). At the beneficiaries’ request, some or all of the capital may be held in Swiss francs.
The difference in performance between the euro-denominated portfolio and the euro-denominated portfolio expressed in Swiss francs is due to the cost of implementing currency hedging for the Swiss franc share (the interest rate differential between the two currencies).
